The entire Ifelodun / Boripe/Odo-otin Federal Constituency in the State of Osun have been charged to give all it takes to successfully host the first edition of ‘Apero’, a civic engagement
programme coming up in Ikirun next week Tuesday.
The Akirun of Ikirun , Oba Abd Rauf, Olawale Adedeji gave the charge in his palace while receiving the State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode who called to formally invite him to the forthcoming progaramme and to secure royal blessings for the success thereof.
While assuring the Commissioner’s team, including her counterpart in the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Prince Babatunde Olawale of his hundred per cent support for the programme, the monarch harped on the need for the team to put
necessary machinery in motion for the success of the debut of the civic engagement programme in the Federal constituency.
He however expressed delight that the programme is scheduled to kick-start in the Governor’s constituency, advancing that it alludes to the fact that charity should begin at home.
Earlier in her interaction with the monarch, the Commissioner, who disclosed that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola had approved that the
programme be replicated in the nine Federal Constituencies in the State, had explained that the programme is a civic engagement one
which will enable the constituents to have family meeting with the State helmsman.
In a similar development, the Chairman of Ifelodun Local government, Alhaji Hammed Omoloye promised to liaise with his counterparts in the constituency to make the programme a monumental success.
Alhaji Omoloye later accompanied the Commissioner and her entourage to the venue of the programme, Akinorun High School, Ikirun, for an on-the-spot assessment.
