The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has applauded Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for creating an enabling environment for workers to thrive in the state,stressing that the existing cordial relationship between the Government and workers is heartwarming and encuraging.
The National Vice Chairman of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, ,Comrade Olubunmi Adebayo Fajobi made this known alongside other members of the Association who are currently in Osun for their 4th Quadrennial delegate conference.
To drive home their sense of happiness over the healthy relationship ,the Association conferred an Award of the Most Benevolent Governor of the year on Governor Oyetola.
Comrade Olubunmi Fajobi held that Governor Oyetola has distinguished himself in many ways especially for respecting the negotiation and payment of new minimum wage to workers without any form of disagreement with members of the labour unions in the state.
The National Vice Chairman emphasised that the way Governor Oyetola handles the NLC and ASCSN without inciting one against the other in the state is worthy of emulation by other states.
Comrade Fajobi prayed God to take the government of Osun under the leadership of Mr Adegboyega Oyetola to greater height .
He sought the support and assurances of the governor in no distant times to appoint Permanent Secretaries among the civil servants as a way of making them get their career dreams actualised .
He equally appealed to the State Government to recruit new and younger elements into the service to fill the many existing vacant positions due to mass retirement of workers.
In his acceptance remarks while thanking the Association for the award , Governor Adegboyega Oyetola acknowledged that civil servants formed a significant part of Government with a declaration that without their cooperation and cooperation,success at any governmental level will become a mirage.
He described them as the engine room that drives good governance at all levels.
Governor Oyetola who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government,Prince Oluwole Oyebamiji saluted the competence ,resilience,
understanding, commitment and efficient service delivery of Osun civil servants.
The Governor reiterated his avowed commitment of never at any time take the state workforce for granted .
He added that since he came on board,he has never reneged on his campaign promises ,one of which is prioritising the welfare of all citizens including workers.
With a promise for better days ahead for Osun workers,Governor Oyetola also appealed to them to continue to put in their best as well as rally round his Administration in a relentless effort to reposition the state and drive its economy for greater gains.
Governor Oyetola also used the opportunity to remind Civil Servants on the need to double efforts at increasing the state Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) that will enable government to meet the many yeranings and aspirations of the people of the state.
Earlier the State Chairman ,Association of Senior Civil Servants In Nigeria,state of Osun branch,Comrade Adebowale Adekola explained that the continued existence of the Association over the years was largely due to the support of Governor Adegboyega Oyetolas Administration.

Comrade Adekola commended the love and understanding of the governor which according to him has accounted for the essence of smooth governance in the state of Osun.
Governor Oyetola was thereafter decorated with the award of the Most Benevolent Governor of the year by the Association.
