The Deputy Chief of Staff of the State of Osun, Prince Adeyanju Binuyo, the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, and the Special Adviser to the Governor of the State of Osun on Water and Energy, Hon. Ibitoye Adeniran; have felicitated with Honorable Ajibola Famurewa, over his recent appointment as the Director-General of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and assured him of their unflinching support
At a courtesy visit to the newly-appointed Chairman of the Board, the three cabinet members congratulated Honorable Famurewa on his recent appointment, stating that his ability to deliver on the new assignment was not in question.
Binuyo, while speaking during the visit, applauded the commitment, resilience and leadership traits of Famurewa who is also the Director-General of the Ileri Oluwa Campaign Organisation.
Corroborating Binuyo’s position, Egbemode said she believed in Famurewa’s capability to take SUBEB to greater heights. In her words, “We are not in doubt as to your ability and leadership skills and we pray God grant you good health and wisdom to paddle the canoe of SUBEB and guide the board to excel”.
Hon Ibitoye lauded the new SUBEB boss, mentioning that he is a man of integrity. “We believe your grassroots experience will add value to your appointment as DG. We are here to rejoice with you and to assure you that we hold you in high esteem .”
While appreciating the three cabinet members from Odo Otin federal constituency, Honorable Famurewa said he acknowledged that he has an assignment to deliver in the State of Osun, with or without an appointment.
In his words, “We will focus on reforming the education sector by addressing the challenges that has deterred the progress of the sector and to achieve that. We will start at the root because if we miss it at the foundation, then we will miss it all”.
