Women in Egbedore Local Government Area of the State of Osun have called on female folks across the State to support the reelection of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
The call was made during a meeting of women leaders, female political office holders and wives of political functionaries from Egebdore, in Iwoye.
Speaking during the meeting, wife of the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Abosede Oyebamiji, said Oyetola deserves continuity in office because of his monumental achievements over the last three years.
She maintained that women, children and youths have been the greatest beneficiaries of Oyetola’s interventions across the various sectors of the State.
She urged women in Egbedore Local Government Area to ensure they mobilize other women in their domain by trumpeting the good works of Oyetola.
In her words: “the purpose of our meeting is to create political awarerness and consciousness for our people in Egbedore Local Government. Women are the mothers of the nation and the closest to the grassroot.
“I assure you that the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola will continue to develop the state and cater for the progress and future of women and children”, Mrs Oyebamiji declared.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor Oyetola on Women and Children Affairs, Mrs Toyin Araoye, said the incumbent governor should be applauded for his efforts at addressing every form of women victimization/abuse of girl-child in the State.
In their separate remarks, women leaders in Egbedore Local Government expressed their readiness to work for the re-election of Governor Oyetola, lauding him for the great works he has done to improve living condition for every social category in the last three years.
Also in attendance at the meeting were the wife of the House of Assembly member representing Egbedore Local Government, Mrs Adejoke Ibirogba, and wife of the Chairman, Egbedore Local Government, Mrs Bimpe Adejumo.
