The Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has directed all political office holders in all the Local Government councils, Area Development Councils and and Administrative offices in the state of Osun to vacate their respective offices with immediate effect.
Accordingly, they are to hand over the administrative affairs of their respective offices to the most Senior local government
officer in each of the councils .

The Secretary to the State Government of Osun, Prince Oluwole Oyebamiji disclosed this in a press statement made available to newsmen on behalf of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

According to the statement, “this is in pursuant to the expiration of the tenure of all political Office holders in all the Local Government councils, Area Development Councils and Administrative offices in Osun, today ,Friday, the 5th day of February, 2021”.

Governor Oyetola, however ,appreciated their individual contributions to the development of the state and accordingly wished them well in their future endeavors.
The directive of the governor in this regard takes immediate effect from today,the statement added.###
