Osun Governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola has strengthened the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) with additional empowerment of the cadets in Point of Sale (POS) transactions.
The technology of mobile money empowerment is part of the recent Program Trainings for the OYES cadets of the State of Osun.
Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, at the graduation and presentation ceremony, stated that the Point of Sale (POS) training by Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme is for transformation in the area of attitude,
behaviour and above all economic impact.
The Governor, who was represented by the OYES Commandanté, Col. Eniibukun Oyewole (rtd), also stated that the ”OYES O’ Money”, through Point of Sale is also android compliant.
The POS machine was given free of charge to four (4) cadets based on their tenacity for marketing. This donation, he said, was made possible by Mr. Nurudeen Oyekunle the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of
De-Just Multi Services Company Ltd.
He explained that the programme is designed to give the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme cadets prospects in acquisition of landed property, with a view to assisting them to become home owners.
A total of Four Thousand Five Hundred and Fourteen (4,514) beneficiaries, participated in the OYES O’ Money’ Exit Program Training.
Many of the beneficiaries run the mobile money transaction with the use of Point of Sale (POS) equipment, while the rest cadets use android compliant phones for their various transactions.
The O’ Money outlets operated by the cadets are located in many strategic places across the cities and towns in the State of Osun.
