Stakeholders in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun, have declared that there was no alternative to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the State.
They said Osun without Oyetola at this time in its history was as good as saying goodbye to good governance.
Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Odo-Otin North LCDA, during a strategic meeting at Sandereco Hotel Hall, Oyan, restated their commitment to supporting the candidature of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola all the way, adding that Oyetola’s achievements across different sectors in the last three-and-a-half years was the foundation of their immutable conviction.
They said any other agenda aside Oyetola’s relection was inimical to good governance in Osun.
The communique of their meeting read in part: “The entire leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Odo-Otin North LCDA wing, hereby recognize and commend the good works, policies and pragmatic programmes of Governor Adegboyega oyetola since he assumed office on November 27, 2018.
“We particularly appreciate and commend the courage, resilience and unwavering commitments of Mr. Governor to outstanding and exceptional performances in infrastructure and socio-economic development through pragmatic health care delivery, education reforms, communal peace and harmony, youth development, unemployment reduction, decisive security interventions, road repairs and construction, sports and agricultural development and other sustainable social interventions.
“These are the foundations of our conviction that the incumbent governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, is the leader who is deeply committed to the development of the Osun. The depth of his passion has delivered so much dividends of democracy in the three years, a proof that his continuity in office will deliver even greater rewards.
“He has also been a worthy ambassador of the All Progressive Congress, saving it from the devastation it almost suffered in 2018, and making people believe in the Party’s ideals again”, it read.
Elders of the Council also took turns to commend the governor, charging stakeholder on the need to uphold the good works of Oyetola in Osun.
The strategic meeting was attended by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode; Member representing Odo-Otin in the Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Adetoyi Michael; Chairman Odo-Otin North LCDA, Hon. Adekeye Iyiola; Secretary of Odo-Otin North LCDA, Hon. Adegoke Rauf; APC Party Chairman in Odo-Otin North, Hon. Kunle Osagbemi; former Chairman of Odo-Otin North LCDA, Hon. Akeem Seriki; and other stakeholders in the area.
