The State Government of Osun has been commended for opening up rural roads and communities in the state through the Osun Rural Access and Mobility Project, RAMP which has successfully opened up a lot of rural communities to urban markets.
The Project Coordinator, Ondo RAMP, Engr Zacheus Olounnegun gave the commendation while speaking at the end of a two day understudy tour of projects executed by Osun RAMP.
Engr Olounnegun who said the visit to the project sites of Osun RAMP had been an eye opener for him and his team, stressing that the state had really done well for rural dwellers and especially farmers in the state.
He stated further that the aim of the tour which is to gain knowledge from Osun RAMP has not been defeated, saying the reason why Osun is rated the best is very obvious going by what was seen and learnt through the tour.
In his address, the Project Coordinator, Osun Ramp, Prince Adesola Adewumi said the project has been successful in the state because of the determination of the Adegboyega Oyetola administration to make life better for Osun citizens.
He said the State Governor has been very supportive and has provided everything to ensure that quality jobs are delivered on the 307.69km rehabilitated roads and the 61km of pilot roads.
He, however, admonished his counterpart from Ondo RAMP to maintain good working relationship with the Ondo State Government and his staffers so as to achieve the desired objective.
The Resident Infrastructural Consultant for Osun RAMP, Engr. Lanre Oyebola who took the delegates from Ondo on the details of the project in Osun also emphasized the need to get policy makers and stakeholders involved so as to achieve the desired results.
Some of the projects visited by the Ondo RAMP delegates are: the 20.99km Akoda- Ayetoro road, the Wajeko – Osu road among others.
