The chairman of the All Progressive Congress Elders’ Forum in Ife North local government area, Prince Omolade Binuyo, on Monday, said Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s emergence as the Party’s flag bearer showed its readiness for the July 16 election in the State.
Describing last Saturday’s Party primary where Oyetola recorded a landslide victory against Moshood Adeoti and Lasun Yusuff, Binuyo said the overwhelming vote was proof of Oyetola’s performance over the last three years of his administration.
He lauded Oyetola’s disposition of leaving things in the hands of God after doing his best, saying that it was the hallmark of a man who was certain to enjoy divine backing in his endeavours.
In a statement signed and made available on Monday, Binuyo said Governor Oyetola won the election across all local governments based on his governance style which had positively changed the tides of social delivery in the state and has greatly upturned the fortunes of the Party.
He added that Oyetola has excellently fulfilled his campaign promises especially in the State’s civil service, the private sector and in market operations.
According to Binuyo: “His right policies and programmes have saved us a lot of energy while canvassing for him. The jobs he is doing are remarkable and obvious for all to see. The impacts on citizens have also been amazing”.
Binuyo, who is also the Chairman of the Osun State Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee (MIREMCO), lauded the Party structures across every level in the State for their contribution to the success of the primary.
He continued: “I am optimistic that the Party is good to go with Oyetola, who is a reputable candidate. The Party is ready for a landslide victory against any opposition in the governorship election on July 16”.
