The government of the State of Osun has commiserated with Amotekun Field Commander, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, and his family, over the death of his mother, Late Alhaja Aishat Morawo Abeo Shittu.
The deceased died on the evening of Saturday, according to report.
A statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, described the deceased as a distinguished mother who in her lifetime blessed the society with responsible children.
The statement read in part: “We thank God for the life and time of Alhaja Aisha Morawo Abeo Shittu, whose diligence at home blessed the society with men of right standing.
“Comrade Amitolu Shittu is an example, a stakeholder in the security formation of the State. Mr Smollette Alamu Shittu is another example, a veteran broadcaster and one of the finest media professionals the State has produced.
“The government of the State of Osun indeed commiserates with Comrade Amitolu Shittu, Mr Smollette Alamu Shittu and the entire family, praying for God’s comfort and peace upon the family at this time of grief”, the statement read.
