The Government of the State of Osun has described the death of the wives of Owa-Obokun of Ijeshaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, and Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin II, as a colossal loss to Ijeshaland and Ejigbo respectively.

In a condolence statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, Osun government commiserated with the traditional rulers, the children and the entire members of the two royal families, praying God to grant them the fortitude to bear the losses.

Osun government described Olori Olanike Aromolaran and Olori Ruth Anike Oyeyode as strong pillars and support system to the reigns of Owa-Obokun and the Ogiyan respectively.

“The Government of State of Osun commiserates with the Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran,  and the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin II over the passage of Olori Olanike Aromolaran and Olori Ruth Anike Oyeyode.

“We commiserate with the royal families and the entirety of Ijeshaland and Ejigbo on the death of the two matriarchs who now have joined their forebears, and pray God’s comfort and peace for our Kabiyesi, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran and Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin II”, the statement read in part.
