The Deputy Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, on Friday, condoled with the family of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on the passing of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.
Son of the respected clergy reportedly died in his sleep on Wednesday, shortly after ministration.
But Alabi, who wrote on behalf of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the people of Osun, commisserated with the family of Pastor Adeboye and the entire Church, praying for requisite physical and spiritual strength at the time.
“It is with heavy heart that I write on behalf of His Excellency, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the good people of the State of Osun to commiserate with you and your entire household over the loss of one of your sons.
“Obviously, the sudden demise of Pastor Dare Adeboye, came to us in the State of Osun as a shock because the young man died at an age in which his service to humanity and contribution to the development of Osun, his home State and Nigeria at large are greatly needed.
“In as much as I know that this is a trying moment for you and your entire household, I see solace in your personality as a respected man of God, who has the satisfactory understanding of the unquestionable power of the almighty God.
“As I pray that God almighty will grant you and your entire family the requisite physical and spiritual strength to bear the painful loss, I, therefore, encourage you to stay strong in the Lord who alone can heal the wound”, Alabi stated.
