The Deputy Governor of the state Osun, Mr. Benedict Alabi has commended the Education Policy Review Summit Committee over the facilitation of some extant policies in the Educational sector.
The Deputy Governor gave the commendation while declaring close a two-day round table submit on some extant policies in the Educational sector.
Mr. Benedict also thanked the committee members for demonstrating passion for Education, saying the strength of a Nation depends on Education.
He said a reformed opinion is needed in the sector and that the authorities in the field have been called upon.
Mr. Benedict while specially thanking the Committee Chairman Prof. Olu Aina, Prof. Obanyan and Dr. Iyi Uwadiae assured them that the recommendations made will be of great value to Education.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Education in the state, Hon. Folorunso Oladoyin, appreciated the Committee members for the hard work they’ve exhibited and excited that they’ve not been mistaken in the selection process of the members.
Hon Oladoyin said the education policy will be streamlined based on their recommendations.
Speaking earlier, the chairman of the committee Prof. Olu Aina assured that the decisions that have been taken is in the best interest of the state and that generations to come will appreciate the decisions taken.
Prof. Olu Aina said if the decisions are faithfully implemented, it will Improve the system of Education in the state.
Some members of the committee are, the Chief of staff to the Governor,Dr. Charles Akinola, Commissioner for information and Civic Orientation in the state, Mrs Funke Egbemode, Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Hon. Jamiu Olawumi, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Mr. Festus Olajide
