The government of Osun State has approved the reconstruction of the Zenith Bank – Union Baptist Church Street- Odi Olowo bypass of the Olaiya corridor.

The reconstruction, according to Osun government, was necessitated by wears experienced by the road due to the intensity of its usage during the construction of Olaiya flyover.

It would be recalled that the road was one of those where traffic was diverted during the construction.

But Osun government, in a statement released by the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr Remi Omowaiye, said the reconstruction of the bypass will commence on Monday, 7th March 2022.

It added that the construction of box culvert to create access to Oriade Community Will also commence soon.

It however appealed to the general public, particularly residents living along these areas to cooperate with the Contractors in the period of the construction.

The government also appealed to road users to ride with caution while plying the newly constructed flyover and obey all the traffic rules, adding that law enforcement Officers are on ground to educate and direct all motorists appropriately.
