No School Principal or Headteachers should under any condition, sell school uniform to students or pupils as such act is against the government new education policy.

The Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon Isreal Ajibola Famurewa stated this during an interactive meeting with Junior Secondary school Principals and Primary School Headteachers, at Atoja School of Science hall in Osogbo.

Hon. Famurewa said principals and headteachers should allow students to identify and purchase their specified school uniforms by themselves in the market, warning that teachers should desist from selling school uniforms to students .

The SUBEB Boss implored the teachers to redouble their efforts towards ensuring that the government’s new education policy is adequately followed to the letter.

He said that the purpose of the meeting was to know the level of the preparedness of teachers towards the resumption of schools for new academic session which is next Monday.

He therefore enjoined teachers across the State to be diligent on their job so that the implementation of the government’s new education policy will continue to yield positive results.

Earlier in his welcome address, Osun SUBEB Executive Secretary, Mr Adeoye Bakare while highlighting the purpose of the meeting, implored teachers to be alive to their duties, stressing that all hands must be on deck to provide sound and worthwhile education for osun school children.
