The Secretary to the State Government of Osun, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, has described Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as a lover of developments, adding that some of his interventions across different sectors are proof of his commitments to sustainable development.
Speaking during the inspection of the refurbished and upgraded Conference Hall of the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation, Oyebamiji lauded the development, stating that Oyetola’s love for development and consideration for a conducive working environment accounted for the fixing of the Conference Hall.
The old Conference Hall, a centre for media meetings and events, was razed down by fire and had been in a state of disrepair for over seven years. But with the refurbishment and expansion, the facility now has a 100- seater capacity space, a holding room and multimedia fittings like projectors.
According to Oyebamiji: “I congratulate the Commissioner for Information for this great development that has occurred under your leadership. This is especially remarkable because this facility had been in a bad state for about seven years.
“I also appreciate the commitment of the Directors in the Ministry for the support you have all provided towards this remarkable project. I appeal to you all not to alienate yourself from the development drive of this administration, but see yourself as partners in the task of developing this great State.
“Governor Oyetola is a man who loves changes and developments, and since assumption of office, he has committed himself to a balanced development agenda across different sectors.
“Whatever we can call flaws in governance before now, Governor Oyetola’s administration is working hard to address them. So, things can only get better, with your support”, Oyebamiji said.
In her response, the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, appreciated Governor Oyetola for the unquantifiable support he has given the ministry which has led to the refurbishment of the hall. “We are very grateful to the Governor for all he has done and is doing to improve the facilities in this ministry. Without him, we would not have achieved anything. This new hall will improve the overall commercial capacity of the Ministry and we promise to continue to work hard to project the achievements and activities of Mr Governor and this government. ” Egbemode said.
