Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation in the state of Osun, Mrs Funke Egbemode has described education as a priceless legacy, which Governor Adegboyega Oyetola will not relent in bequeting to the present and future generations of Osun youths.

This laudable objective, according to Mrs Egbemode informed the much desired attention and priority in the last two years being accorded Education sector in the State.


The information Commissoner made this known while playing host in her office to a 7 member delegation of Local Government Education Authority,(LGEA) of Odo Otin local government.
Commending the delegation for the solidarity,love and honour of a courtesy visit to her office at the State Secretariat, Mrs Egbemode reiterated her commitment to do her best in giving education the desired boost in Odo Otin local government,her state constituency.


She recalled with happiness before the delegation led by the Secretary,LGEA,Odo Otin Local Government Hon.Ojo Olufemi, many strides made in other sectors in Osun apart from Education by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola .She particularly identified sectors like Health,Works and Transportation, workers welfare through prompt payment of salaries, promotion of workers, regular payment of pension and gratuity of retirees, Agriculture,Women and Youth empowerment including sports which she noted, has endeared Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to the people of the state of Osun.

Mrs Egbemode remarked ” no nation or society develops to an enviable height without putting in place solid foundation for the Education of its younger generations.”
“This informed what the Oyetola administration is currently doing without making a pretence about it at all times.”
“Education remains one of Oyetolas top priorities with a view to entrenching a solid and worthwhile future for the present generation of the school children” concluded Egbemode.
She had earlier sought the need for more support for Oyetola administration in its quest to make a world of difference in all sectors for the people of Osun.

Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the delegation who is also the Secretary,LGEA,Odo Otin local government,Hon.Ojo Olufemi appreciated Mrs Egbemode for the honour and hospitality accorded his team during the visit.
Describing her as a pride and worthy ambassador of the people of Odo Otin local government where she hails from, Hon .Olufemi pledged the resolve of the people of the area to continue to love and support her at all times .

The team also expressed happiness over all the pledges earlier made by Mrs Egbemode in using her present position as a member of the state Executive Council to change the face of education for good in Odo Otin local government.

At the end of the courtesy call ,the Odo Otin Local Government Education Authority members ,in a unanimous voice affirmed their unalloyed solidarity and support for the continuity of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in office for another 4 year tenure.##
