Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun has described a former Lagos Governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as his leader, mentor and teacher in classical politics and governance.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, Oyetola noted that Tinubu’s style of politics and governance is one that makes the people “the ultimate beneficiaries of every decision and action of government.”
Oyetola further said: “On this special occasion of your entry into the class of septuagenarians in grand style, I join your family, innumerable friends and associates to toast to a life of national and global impact and service.
“I salute our national leader, my leader, my mentor and my teacher whose brand of classical politics and governance makes the people the ultimate beneficiaries of every political and governance decision.
“I pay glowing tribute to you for being an outstanding mentor and model to the emerging leaders of Nigeria; a lesson in patriotism, tenacity, and service; a phenomenal leader to our great party, the All Progressives Congress; a proud and illustrious Omoluabi of no mean stature; and a beacon of hope to our teeming youths and leaders of tomorrow.
“On behalf of my family, government and good people of Osun, I say a happy birthday to my leader, our leader, my mentor and teacher in progressive politics and governance.
“Congratulations on your new age, Sir.
“May Almighty Allah grant you more wisdom, good health and long life to continue to be of immense service to Nigeria and the world,” Oyetola said.
