As female professionals in the State of Osun declared support for the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and his second term bid, Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs in the State of Osun, Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo has emphasised the essence of participation of women in politics.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Group which is an arm of the Oyetola Consultative Forum, the Commissioner charged more women to participate in politics, stressing that the benefits are beyond saying.

She described Governor Adeboyega Oyetola as a gender sensitive governor who is ever ready to empower and uplift women.
“Governor Oyetola is a worthy leader who has done a lot in terms of infrastructure, Health, Education, women development among other life enhancing activities being embarked on by his administration “.

Barr. Olaboopo charged women to support one another and shun politics of bitterness reiterating that by being together, women can do much more. She identified the roles of women before, during and after any election as germane.

Commending Hon. Nike Omoworare for the initiative, the Commissioner urged citizens to continue to support and pray for the present administration in the state.

In his goodwill message, the Chairman of the occasion and former Commissioner for Finance in the State of Osun, Mr Ojo Moses, commended the initiative of the women group for lending their support to a worthy course.

“This government has done more than the doubting Thomases can fathom. Governor Oyetola has been able to strategically and prudently manage the finances of Osun State, juggling many socio-economic balls successfully. He is paying full salaries in a State where workers hitherto earned half salaries for a long time. He has diligently catered for the welfare of retirees in a State where retired civil servants had previously groaned in hardship of non-payment of pensions and gratuity.

“As a Finance Expert, I am still learning from the management acumen of Mr Oyetola. It is only fitting that he should be allowed to continue with the excellent discharge of good governance in the State of Osun”. He added

Present at the occasion were the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Hon (Mrs) Funke Egbemode, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Adeleke Adebayo, Commissioner for Human Resources and Capacity Building, Hon. Latifat Giwa among others.

Earlier in her remarks, the group, through its Coordinator, Hon. Olanike Omoworare applauded governor Adegboye Oyetola ,describing as a man of integrity and excellence.
