The management of Rave fm 91.7fm has pledged to the State government of Osun its unreserved support in making Osun a better state through the powerful tool of Media.
The management headed by the CEO, Mr Femi Adefila received in courtesy visit the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation Mrs Olufunke Egbemode and her entourage from the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation and Office of the Governor respectively.
The Honorable Commissioner appreciated the consistent support of the station to the government in relation to media over the years.
She however implored the station to partner and work with the government at different times, as the Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola is determined to do something different everyday by employing the powerful tool of the Media.
“The Governor wants a state people won’t look down on, he wants a state that will become a commercial hub and he’s determined and working hard at achieving this” she said.
Mrs Olufunke Egbemode stated that the government is ready to partner with the station at achieving a greater Osun. “I have a good product, and I’ll implore Rave to support us, let’s make it a partnership in making Osun greater, we ask for your hand of partnership so we can do better” she said.
Mr Femi Adefila commended the effort of the Honorable Commissioner so far, in a bid to project the state on a good slate. He applauded the Governor for seeing the media as an important tool for governance.
“This is a man that takes media seriously, he knows that leadership and governance is a journey and needs able hands and professionals to navigate the journey” Mr Adefila said.
He described the appointment of the Honorable Commissioner and Chief Press Secretary as “a sumptuous Media cake” and “beautiful icing on the cake” respectively.
He mentioned that Rave fm is bent on redefining the broadcast landscape in order to add value to the state.
“I owe it as a duty to ensure that you succeed. You’re coming to the table as a professional with a clear vision on how things work in the media realm. I’ll like to assure that we will support you”. He said. He reiterated the Honorable Commissioner’s words on having a “mutually beneficiary relationship”.
He applauded the Governor on his decision to have an Open Government which will help the station in sourcing positive materials to project the state with.
“Rave fm is a radio station with quality talk and good music. We want to talk and we will need resources from your end to enable us work better to benefit the government. Please take our support to the bank, we owe you and we are not enemies of the government”. He assured.
In the company with the Commissioner were the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ismail Omipidan, and some management staff of the Ministry including the Coordinating Director, Mr Adebisi Popoola, Director of Press and Director of Finance.
The Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ismail Omipidan in his remarks thanked the CEO of Rave Fm, Mr Adefila, for the warm reception and commended the management for consistently allowing Osun government respond to issues raised by the general public.
He finally pledged that the ministry and the entire media team of Mr Governor will continue to strengthen the relationship between the media organization and the current administration.
