Not less than two people were shot in Ogba area of Lagos State, on Friday, during a clash between men of the Nigerian Police Force and commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada riders.
According to an eyewitness, the conflict started on Thursday when a police officer made an attempt to arrest a motorcyclist who trespassed into the restricted area of Ogba road.
The eyewitness reported that the clash began when the motorcyclist, who is a northerner, refused to release his bike, and the returned with his tribesmen to attack the police station in Ogba on Friday morning.
It was reported that the Police repelled the attack immediately, causing an unrest in the axis with injuries in its trail.
The Ogba road has reportedly been blocked by the police and only accessible for people with valid ID cards.
