Today, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola received Ms. Claire Pierangelo, the Consul-General of the United States Consulate in Lagos and her team at the Government Office, Abere Osogbo, where they discussed matters of mutual interest and possible collaborations.
He underscored Nigeria’s cordial relationship with the United States as a longstanding ally, particularly in the areas of Economic growth and development, governance and security cooperation, and expressed the readiness of our administration to key into this established mutually beneficial partnerships for the development of our State.
He reiterated the critical sectors, where the State is seeking partnerships and investments to fast track Osun’s economic growth. These sectors are Agriculture, Mining, Tourism, Light Manufacturing and Industrial Development, Technical and Vocational Education and ICT.
As part of efforts to attract investments into Osun, our administration is investing in infrastructural development, security and promoting ease of doing business. We’ve also established the Osun Investment Promotion Agency. We’ll continue to seek and welcome purpose-driven collaborations and investments to drive economic growth and development of the State.
