The Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, has said his administration will not relent in its quest to identify and develop talents among the youths of the State, adding that the quest os critical to the improvement of the socio-economic wellbeing of youths.
Oyetola also stated that his administration’s interest in youth development was responsible for the formulation of a youth policy in the State, which focuses on Youth Education, Youth Engagement, Youth Empowerment and Youth Entrepreneurship.
He added that the youth policy will soon be unveiled.
Oyetola, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Social Intervention Programmes (SIP), Lukman Abimbola Bello, at the completion of a two-week intensive training for adhoc members of Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES), also charged Osun youths to be good citizens of the state, and to engage in entrepreneurship activities that can guarantee a good future for them.
The Youths were trained on Computer and Digital Marketing, Mobile Money Transfer, Digital Payments and Technologies, Photography and Videography with Ankara craft, paint making and interior decoration, refrigerator and air-conditioning among others.
